Two crispy slices of toast with creamy cheese between… but surprisingly combined with fresh steak and a homemade pepper sauce, or with chili con carne and guacamole. Behold chef Kevin Vanaken and his wife Kaatje Goyens’ recipe for success. KROK was founded in 2017 in a building in Winterslagstraat, but that location soon turned out to be too small. Now that they occupy the building adjacent to the city library, there is more room for culinary indulgence. The drinks menu reveals special novelties, such as the tasty Kerel beers.
