For many years, artist Fred Eerdekens has put language in the spotlight, both as a medium for making art or as an object of reflection on how language works. This revealing work of art is called PROOF. A work in which Eerdekens engages in a three-dimensional play with language and material, light and shadow.

Fred Eerdekens (° 1951) himself writes the texts that are the raw material of the works and they are often not about what you just expect … His – otherwise very plastic – oeuvre is the start of a world that can only be presented through words. In the shadow, where there is no light, a story is often told about things that are missing. Sometimes short, sometimes lyrical and again languorous.

Eerdekens, living and working in Hasselt, is a huge name in the art world and exhibits worldwide in museums, galleries from Athens to Dubai, Los Angeles to New York and Shanghai to Yinchuan. This top piece from 2013 has an estimated value of at least 12,000 euros. Especially for Een Hart Voor Limburg the installation of the work is included.
