For many years, artist Fred Eerdekens has put language in the spotlight, both as a medium for making art or as an object of reflection on how language works. This revealing work of art is called PROOF. A work in which Eerdekens engages in a three-dimensional play with language and material, light and shadow.

Fred Eerdekens (° 1951) himself writes the texts that are the raw material of the works and they are often not about what you just expect … His – otherwise very plastic – oeuvre is the start of a world that can only be presented through words. In the shadow, where there is no light, a story is often told about things that are missing. Sometimes short, sometimes lyrical and again languorous.
