Anne Ligtenberg

designer

Anne Ligtenberg graduated from the Design Academy Eindhoven with a thesis in which she made dyslexia comprehensible for non-dyslexics. For Toegepast she wanted to study how conceptualisation of dysfunctions or diseases paves the way to stereotypical thinking. Thus, she examines how an information flow can inadvertently turn out to be stigmatising, because even though the goal is to inform and simplify in order to make dysfunctions comprehensible and discussable, at the same time the contrast between normal and not normal is put in the spotlight. She is a laureate of Toegepast 20.
