Frank Claesen has been a designer at Studio Pieter Stockmans since 1999. In his role as an external designer he contributes to the continued development of the Studio Collection and the Pieter Stockmans brand. His designs are sober and discrete. After all, a plate should be a stage on which all the attention is focused on the creative composition of the food. Quote from Frank: ‘Initially I struggled with the material. I very much wanted the porcelain to behave according to my wishes.
