Gilberte Claes is an interior architect and furniture designer. At the request of the University of Hasselt, she researched the influence of Scandinavian Modernism on Belgian furniture in the period 1951-1966. Galleriet.atelier is her design bureau since 1990. Projects range from private interior refurbishments, through renovation and conversion projects to museum presentations and exhibition sets. Galleriet is the gallery headed up by Gilberte Claes, opened in 2009 in Genk, and shows the diversity of the northern culture.
