Science, art én technology op X-Festival

On may 3th X–Festival will take place at C-mine Genk. X–Festival is an annual cross–disciplinary, visionary, inspirational and stimulating ideas festival at the crossroads of science, technology and art towards a creative and sustainable future. X–Festival aims to bring together different worlds, to stimulate innovation through cross–overs, to explore new frontiers and horizons and to be a Big–Bang of reflection and action. Essential to the DNA of X–Festival are space for critical inquiry and debate and the ambition to stimulate and challenge towards creative action.

X–Festival 2018 will be held in the stunning and inspiring buildings of C–mine (Genk – Belgium website c–mine). This is an ideal location to foster new ideas and to ignite a storm in your brain to create the future of your dreams. How can cross–fertilization of disciplines shape the world in a positive way? Which (cross–over) out–of–the–box ideas of today will lead to the start–ups of tomorrow? How can you connect ideas from different worlds, to make planet earth more beautiful, more creative and more sustainable?

X–Festival 2018 is available for students, researchers from various disciplines, policy makers, architects, artists, designers, entrepreneurs, press and the general public who want to be inspired and aim to shape the future in a creative and out–of–the–box manner. Dune, an interactive landscape of light, of Dutch tech-art designer Daan Roosegaarde will be featured at C-mine (25.04 – 13.06). This installation enhances social interactions in the public spaces. Ceramist Piet Stockmans is having a lecture on saturday talking about cohabitation between art and design.
