Lee Castro was formed as a result of reactions between two disciplines. Spontaneous dialogues between South Korean painter and Belgian architect led to a natural fermentation of common interfaces within two different cultures. The shapes of our conversations were not guided by words but by embodied images; between the lines, materials, colors, building models and paintings. We lean towards use of humor, playfulness, simplicity, power of quality materials that come locally. Most importantly, the making process is rooted in the enjoyment of thinking hands.
