Piet Stockmans works as an industrial designer and as an artist. For 26 years he was a designer at Mosa Maastricht (NL). He taught at the Luka School of Arts in Genk (B) for 29 years and helped set up the Product Design department. From 1983 to 1985 he taught at the AIVE in Eindhoven (NL). In 1987 he established Studio Pieter Stockmans, Belgium’s specialist in hard porcelain. He was a co-founder of IDEM and in 2014 initiated the PASfoundation. He has given guest lectures worldwide and his work can be found in the collections of the V&A (London), Metropolitan Museum (New York) and Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam).
